OK, so been out and about on a trip in RL, which left no time at all for eve. But I'm back now and looking to cause some havoc over the weekend. Not sure where I'm gonna go, but considering Great Wildlands, Molden Heath, Heimatar and the Bleak Lands. Probably gonna die loads!

Day 2
Today I logged in and headed off to amamake. This infamous system seemed like a good place to start the day and sure enough.... I was actually 500km off the belt and I took a minute or so to decide whether I should warp in or not. A deimos and a hurricane seemed almost as bad as the nightmare. Due to lag slowing me down I did also lose a rifter, but I think a faction battleship in exchange for a t1 frigate is a fair exchange.
After reshipping and stealing all the left over drones (hehehe) I headed to Egghelende again. Here I was surprised to see the same Tristan pilot as yesterday ratting again. I almost got him not once, but twice! Every time I came out of warp just a bit too far away and he managed to escape.
So, as I wasn't feeling great I decided to just head home to rens. Not particularly active, but certainly profitable :)
Fly Reckless

Day 1: Slightly Later
Well, about 20 mins after my first post I decided to head out in another rifter. I went back to Egghelende and found this rather young, juicy ratter. I'm quite pleased with myself here, as I found him, despite other pirates in local, killed him, and got out without dying. In fact, I barely left shields. Carrying on from there I must have gone through about 12 systems without finding anyone to fight until...
I was being chased by a dramiel! Now, I've never seen one of these, but I've heard of them and I was pretty sure my rifter was no match. I started fleeing randomly, just heading for the first gate on my overveiw. He followed me for about 6 or 7 jumps and then vanished, so I thought I'd lost him. I ended up in Vitrauze, a long way from the bleak lands. Here, I found another Tristan pilot at a gate, this one only 2 days old like me. As I didn't want to get gate gunned, I attempted a trick my brother had told me about; inviting them to a fleet and hoping you can get them to warp to you. He didn't like it and rejected the invitation. So I warped to the gate and yellow boxed him, hoping he'd have an itchy trigger finger.
Nope. He just jumped through. As I followed him, the dramiel landed on the gate. Crap. So, I held cloak as he came through after me and started orbiting the gate. Picking a random planet, I warped as soon as he was a little distance away. From there I bounced to another gate, jumped through and ended up one jump from hi-sec. I safe'd up, and he started talking in local:

Could have gone better, but pretty much what I expected from fighting an 07 player. Luckily, no implants and an up to date clone are something all players start with :)
About 20mins after that, someone jokingly challenged me to a dual in corp chat. I said yes and they backed out. Minersha Green, however, took up the challenge, and we headed to Rens. Minersha has been playing over 3 years, and I fully expected to die. I was hoping, that as a mostly carebear style player she wouldn't know too much about pvp. If I had better tactics, I might be able to beat her. We both took rifters.
We met at planet 4 and I dropped a can, she took it and we began to fight. At first, my guns seemed to be working nicely, taking chunks from her shields while she barely scratched me. Then she activated a rocket launcher and things began to go downhill. My shields hit half just as she hit armour, we hit half armour at the same time, and I hit structure first. I pulled range in an attempt to lower the damage and repair and brought myself up to about 25% armour, 85% hull. Going back in I hammered her amour taking it down to nothing and just began to take pieces from her un-protected structure when I exploded.
She finished in 85% hull. I think I did pretty good for a 2 day player.

First of all, I better explain why I'm here. I first played eve maybe..3? years ago now when my brother introduced me and didn't stay at it for more than 3 or 4 months. Real life got in the way etc. Anyway, I'm back now, and I've decided to spend all the time I can in low sec flying Rifters. In low sec. I expect to die a lot :)
So 1 day after creating Willow I headed off to low sec following the route Miura Bull talked about in his blog. True to his word I found a fight in Egghelende. Taking advice from the guide I made a few safespots before seeing sister's combat probes on scan. Well.. I was here to fight, so I stayed put. About 2 or 3 mins later a Stilleto warped in. I don't know much about interceptors, but I'm pretty sure they normally do more damage than this. I think the best shot he did got about 93 damage, the average was about 17 damage. I tried a few basic tricks to get him into web range, but he was too fast and held at 15km.
So, we had a bit of a stalemate, me unable to catch him and him unable to kill me. Just as I was about to convo him for a ransom attempt ( Yeh, I was gonna ransom him ) a pilgrim landed. He dropped warrior twos and I charged in to meet them. I barely got one into half shields even through it was webbed. Damn tracking disruptors. So right now I'm fitting 5 rifters and preparing to go get them all blown up. Should be fun!
